LRC™ PRIMER EP 5

Product Description Two component, low viscosity, solvent-free, epoxy impregnated primer. Because it does not contain solvent and active substance, it can be used easily in closed areas. It penetrates very well to the surface to where it is applied, fills the gaps of the capillaries, increases the impact strength and chemical resistance of the applied surface. At the same time, it provides adherence of subsequent layers.

Description

C™ PRIMER EP 5

Solvent Free, Epoxy Impregnation Primer

Product Description Two component, low viscosity, solvent-free, epoxy impregnated primer. Because it does not contain solvent and active substance, it can be used easily in closed areas. It penetrates very well to the surface to where it is applied, fills the gaps of the capillaries, increases the impact strength and chemical resistance of the applied surface. At the same time, it provides adherence of subsequent layers.
Product No 703-1-1
Areas of Application • In the priming of concrete surfaces, cement screeds and epoxy mortars,

• On normal and very absorbent surfaces,

• As a primer for all C Epoxy and Polyurethane (PU) Floor Coatings,

• As binder for mortar and mortar screeds,

• Used on stable surfaces of liquids, dust free, chemical durability and areas where floors require end coat coverage.

Characteristics/ Advantages

• Multi-purpose. It can also be used as repair purposes by inserting a high filler inside.

• Can be used as  top coat protective coating and varnish.

• High chemical and mechanical resistance.

• Due to its low viscosity, it has good spreading and panning properties.

• Prevent dust from being applied on the surface.

• Has high adhesion strength.

• Has short waiting times between coats.

• Provides insulation of the surface covered with liquid impermeability.

• There is no volatile organic compound (VOC).

Chemical Resistance Resistant is: Petrol, Beer, Cyclohexane, Diesel Oil, Ethanol 10%, Ethylene glycol, Glycerine, Milk, Sodium Chloride Solution 3-30%, Sodium Hydroxide 10%, Olive Oil, Paraffin, Petroleum, Castor Oil, Silicon Oil, Turpentine, Water and Soap.

Partly durable: Butanol, Ethanol, Methylisobutylketone, Perchlorethylene and Xylene.

*There may be color change with the effect of chemicals. This research can be performed at room temperature. High temperature values and / or mixtures of chemicals can affect chemical resistance.

Surface Quality Concrete surfaces must be strong and have sufficient compressive strength (at least 25 N / mm²) and tensile strength at least 1,5 N / mm².

Concrete, screed, plaster and metal surfaces must be  clean and purified such as oil, grease ,surface cure materials.

Surface Preparation Very bright, shiny and / or hardened concrete surfaces should be prepared with abrasive equipment (Shot Blast, milling, etc.) to remove the grout and obtain an open pore surface.

Loose and weak particles on the concrete surface must be removed, oblique voids, holes, cracks, pits must be completely open, all dust, loose and volatile particles should preferably be removed from the surface by vacuum cleaners and / or cleaning brushes.

C PRIMER EP 5 is applied to all surfaces ready for application with the help of roller and / or brush. After 2 – 8 hours (with registration not exceeding 24 hours), quartz sand with 0,1-0,3 mm granulometer is mixed in C PRIMER EP 5 to repair, repair and fix cavities, cracks, cracks and grooves in concrete and screed surfaces.

Concrete or screed surfaces should always be applied with solvent free epoxy impregnated and / or leveled to obtain a smooth surface.

Application Terms and Limitations Surface moisture content: <4% unit weight moisture content.

Test method: CM measurement or oven flow method.

There should be no rising moisture according to ASTM (Polyethylene sheet test).

Relative air humidity should be 80% maximum.

Dew point. Be careful of condensation!

In order to reduce the risk of condensation or bubble formation in the floor coating, the surface and uncoated floor temperature must be at least 3 ° C above the dew point.

Mixing Tools / Mixtures C PRIMER EP 5 should be thoroughly mixed with a low speed (300 – 400 rpm) electric mixer or other suitable equipment.

Once component B has been emptied into component A, continue stirring for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After the components A and B are mixed, add 0.1 – 0.3 mm quartz sand and other fillers if necessary and mix for about 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

To make sure the mixture is done properly, remove the ingredients into another container and mix for 1 minute until a smooth mixture is obtained. Avoid excessive mixing to reduce air drag.

Application Method / Equipment

Before application, confirm that the surface moisture content, relative humidity and dew point requirements are met. If the moisture content is ˃ 4% by weight.

Liner

Make sure that a continuous, non-porous coating covers the surface. If necessary, apply two coats of primer. Apply C PRIMER EP 5 with brush, roller or spatula.

Test Fee

Rough surfaces must first be leveled. Apply the trowel with the trowel according to the required thickness.

Mortar Coating / Repair Filler

Apply the mortar properly, using leveling pads on the glue that is still sticky and, if necessary, using veneer boards. After a short waiting period, squeeze the surface with a trowel or Teflon coated lapping machine (usually 20-90 rpm) to correct the surface.
