LRC™ S1

LRC S1 is an admixture material which is mixed with concrete or mortar, and reacts with cement and sand; is normal setting water proofer, the action of which is to block the capillaries and pores in concrete and mortar. While blocking the passage of water it allows the structure to breathe, thus considerably reducing the possibility of condensation. LRC S1 is suitable for use in tropical and hot climates.

Areas of Application:

  • Internal and external plasters
  • Water reservoirs, swimming and decorative pools, sealing holes
  • Silos, exposed concrete, dome isolations
  • Main walls, retaining and curtain walls, foundations and bridges
  • Wet areas like kitchen, balcony, terrace, bathroom, WC
  • Where water and moisture insulation is crucial.

Product Advantages:

  • LRC S1 is economical,
  • Prevents condensation by letting the mortar breath
  • Ready to use and practical,
  • Doesn’t contain chlorides that are corrosive to steel reinforcements,
  • Increases the freezing and thawing strength of the water,
  • Doesn’t affect the setting duration and ultimate strength values of the mortar
  • LRC S1 is not toxic,

Additional information

Preparation Instructions

LRC S1 is used by adding it to clean mixing water.
Mixing rate of LRC S1 to the water is generally 1:5. For concrete; it is 1-2% of the used cement (for 100 kg cement, 1-2 kg LRC S1 is used).

Application

Cracks, porous areas and bloated locations must be improved by cutting and removing. The surfaces, where the application will take place, must be roughened up or abraded with a wire or by sandblasting, and purged from all oils and other chemicals.

Things to pay attention

You should pay extra attention to all junctures. Every layer of concrete must be formed at least 10 cm from the preceding one since concrete expands during curing. Vertical and horizontal joints must be beveled.
